If It’s In Your Practice - Advanced Asana Immersion Series


If you’re forever hearing your yoga teacher say, “if it’s in your practice come into... (insert challenging pose that you have no idea about)” and then you get about 5 seconds to explore the shape before the class moves on… this workshop is for you!

This immersive yoga experience is a deep dive into advanced asana. We’ll take time to explore postures that will allow you to advance your practice in every yoga class. You'll learn how to transition in and out of postures so that they can be added into your regular vinyasa practice.

This three week immersion is designed to give you the tools to know how to safely move into advanced asana, with targeted opening, strengthening and a deeper understanding of how to transition in and out safely.

The series is broken up into three consecutive sessions and is intended to be taken as a 3 week immersion, however if you can only make one or two sessions individual mats can be purchased.

Week 1. Hips, binds and balances. Exploring deep hip and shoulder opening, we’ll explore asanas like, splits, crow with transitions and split legs, koundinyasana, compass, tortoise and a bunch of other goodies that will see you flying around your vinyasa transitions.

Week 2: Heart openers. During this session we’ll work with targeted core strength, shoulder and wrist opening that will see you flipping your dog, your grip and just about everything in between. Full dancers pose, king pigeon, chin stands, wheel progressions, drop-backs and all things heart opening.

Week 3: Turn it all upside-down. During our final session we’ll combine the understanding of split entries as well as heart openers to explore a wide variety of inversions, handstands, hollow bodies, headstands, split transitions and all the upside-down goodness will be on offer.

Upon completion of this immersion you’ll have a deeper understanding of your body, how to transition and take your vinyasa to a new level with a pocket full of new asanas to explore in your personal practice.

Cost:
$222 for all three weeks. $85 per individual session
